Earthquake/tsunami victims: how you can help

If you want to do something to help the Japanese earthquake/tsunami victims, please visit the sites listed below:

Help find missing people

Many thousands of people have been displaced from their homes and are difficult to contact due to the massive damage to transport and communication networks. If you are in Japan and you have information of the whereabouts of affected individuals, then please check out the following websites:

Donate

British charities are gearing up to assist in the disaster relief activities. Please give whatever you can.

  • The British Red Cross are accepting donations via their website or over the telephone (08450 53 53 53).
  • Cornwall charity ShelterBox is collecting donations to send out emergency shelters and supplies to people made homeless by the earthquake and tsunami.
  • You can also donate at globalgiving.co.uk.
