Kiyoko Fukuo

Kiyoko Fukuo began studying the piano at the age of five and singing at the age of fifteen. She gained her first bachelor degree as a singer from Kwassui Women's College. She studied singing with Akiko Kotegawa and piano with Hiroko Shigenaga. Since she came over to England, she studied piano with Lesley Young and Peter Upperd, and singing with Patrick McCarthy at Colchester Institute and received a MA in Art in 2004. She completed Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in piano accompaniment at Trinity College of Music in 2006, studying with Eugene Asti and Ilana Davids. She continued her further study at Guildhall School of Music & Drama and gained MMus in piano accompaniment, studying under Eugene Asti and Pamela Lidiard supported by the Guildhall School Trust. She took the several master classes for solo piano performance and also piano accompaniment including with Graham Johnson, Gordon Back, Martino Tirimo, Yonty Solomon, Iain Burnside and Helmut Deutsch. She is now a professional piano accompanist at GSMD.

The church of St. Dunstan in the West dates back to circa 1070 AD, and the present building was completed in the early 19th century.
