Haru Ushigusa

Haru Ushigusa is currently at the Royal Academy of Music studying violin with Prof. Tomotada Soh and viola with James Sleigh. She started to play the violin at the age of 5, and completed the master course of violin at Toho Music High School in Japan. In 2004 She won second prize at the Student Mainichi Music Concourse and had a recital at Kioi Hall in Tokyo. She also received prizes at the Royal Academy of Music, including the Waterhouse Prize, Michaela Comberti Prize, Winifred Small Solo Violin Prize and a Foundation Award. In 2010, she performed at St Dunstan-in-the-West Church and Bristol Cathedral.

She has been supported by the Rohm Music Foundation since 2008, and has been accepted into the postgraduate programme of the Royal Academy of Music with a scholarship.

Albert Lau

Born in Hong Kong, pianist Albert Lau is currently pursuing his MMus degree at the Royal Academy of Music, under the tutelage of Joanna MacGregor.  He had previously studied with Emile Naoumoff at Indiana University, in USA, where he obtained his BMus degree with high distinction.  In February 2012, Albert collaborated and recorded with the Royal Academy of Music Chamber Orchestra, led by Trevor Pinnock.  He also won the 2012 Else Cross Modern Piano Prize at the Royal Academy of Music.  Albert has played in master classes given by Christopher Elton, Stephen Hough, Roy Howat, and Jean-François Antonioli, amongst others.

St Sepulchre-without-Newgate, also known as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Holborn), is an Anglican church in the City of London. It is located on Holborn Viaduct, almost opposite the Old Bailey. In medieval times it stood just outside ("without") the now-demolished old city wall, near the Newgate. It has been a living of St John's College, Oxford, since 1622.
